I joined Macquarie Capital as a graphic designer, but promptly became the go-to for videos and motion graphics. In amongst branding projects, presentation support and creating all kinds of digital assets, I produced fifty videos in almost as many weeks. These comprised a full suite of promotional and content pieces for major events, interviews, announcements, promos, idents, supers and animations. Below is a small sample of some of my favourite projects that I'm able to share. More examples can be made available upon request.
Converge ANZ
Converge ANZ was the principal internal conference for Macquarie Capital in 2020, I was part of the team that developed the event brand and subsequent collateral, but I took the lead with the event videos, producing eight separate pieces ranging from the teaser trailer below, interviews with staff members to walk-in loops to be played between presentations. The event kicked off with a four-minute opening video which had doubled in scope in the final week of production, but it was hugely satisfying to get that across the line to universal praise from all levels of the company.
Podcast series
In the second quarter of 2020 Macquarie partnered with Innovation Bay to produce a series of podcasts on emerging trends and technologies. I became involved when it came time to promote the podcasts via social media. The concept was to create videos that animated type along with snippets from the podcasts and for the videos to be posted on LinkedIn and Instagram. I was able to steer the art direction to keep the visuals subtle and to keep the focus on what was being said.
I handled all aspects of the videos from audio editing, through animation, editing and delivering multiple versions for the different platforms.
